Roaming Funchal's enchanting streets

Roaming Funchal's enchanting streets

Vibrant and delightful city..., where everything seems to be harmonically integrated - authenticity, nature with lush vegetation and dark green glossy leaves, steep mountains and cliffs bathing in the Atlantic ocean, clean streets, amazing gardens and tasteful gastronomy.

Spirited, energetic and absolutely charming, Funchal became our home very soon after arriving here and deciding to move in.  A city where the old and the new are perfectly mixing together.

The city has old stone paths that take you through its center, where you can find hidden treasures at every turn. There are old buildings with colorful fronts that remind us of its history, streets also have trendy shops, cheerful cafes, and unique artisanal stores.

As you walk around, you'll meet friendly locals passing through the streets with warm smiles and friendly hellos. The atmosphere here is laid-back and welcoming, making you feel exactly like at home in this cozy city.

No matter if you're wandering through the old town with its narrow streets and lovely squares or strolling along the pretty seafront promenade, Funchal's streets are so charming that they'll capture your heart and make you fall in love with the place.

It is, in the same time, calm and peaceful, but also full of live due to the high number of tourists coming all year round but mostly due to the welcoming and warm Portuguese people❤️ 🇵🇹.

Since our 1st time here, I called it perfect and although I know perfection does not exist on earth, I still think the island and its capital are very close to being flawless.

You should definitely come!🤗

Hope on board and book your private Funchal tour to stroll around this charming island capital with a private guide who will give you tips on what to do and explore next...it's the perfect way to experience the very best of Madeira!
Whether it's a peaceful walk along one of the levadas, a boat trip at sunset, sunrise at Pico de Ariero or Seixal, a sunny and relaxing day on the beach, a picnic in the Fanal forest or simply finding less crowded spots to relax in the island's quaint villages and hamlets, I will do my best to ensure that your visit to Madeira goes smoothly.
