Ilana and friends trip to Madeira island.

Please see below the updates I've made to our plan to add some less crowded spots.
Please bring with you the following items for all free days: warm clothing for the early morning chill, comfortable walking shoes, sunscreen and sunglasses.
*I also suggest we bring some snacks with us. There will not be any good lunch options in the middle of these stops, but later on these days.
Also, because the pick-up is not in Funchal, but in Ponta do Sol, the company ensuring the transportation will ask for an additional fee, but I'll first have to check with them.
Day 1 20th October (07h00-15h00)
- Pick-up from One Madeira in Ponta do Sol at 07:00.
- Sunrise at Pico de Ariero at 08:16.
- Caminho Florestal das Serras de Setor Antonio - a road in the central of the island renowned for its unique and diverse flora and vegetation, offering a rich experience of the wild and scenic heart of Madeira.
- Miradouro do Paredão - overlooking breathtaking views towards Pico Grande, the 6th highest peak of Madeira and Nun's Valley, only this one is less touristy and, in my opinion, even more beautiful.
- Miradouro Eira do Serrado - overlooking the Nun's Valley.
- Curral das Freiras (Nun's Valley) - a village surrounded by the mountain peaks; one of the few places on the island that it is not visible from the sea.
- Pico dos Barcelos - offers a 360° view of the beautiful city of Funchal.
Day 2 21th of October (12h30-20h30)
- Pick-up from One Madeira in Ponta do Sol at 12:30.
- Veu da Noiva viewpoint (Seixal beach if not too crowded).
- Fanal forest and the 600 years laurel trees.
- Porto Moniz (natural lava pools).
- Viewpoint - Ponta da Ladeira.
- Viewpoint da Garganta Funda (impressive waterfall especially in the winter time when the debit is higher).
- Miradouro do Fio (viewpoint of the highest lighthouse of Portugal, visible from 50 km).
- Jardim do Mar (an idyllic and charming fishermen village).
- Madalena do Mar - a picturesque village on the southwest coast of Madeira, renowned for its tranquil atmosphere and its mild, sunny climate ideal for banana cultivation.
Explore Madeira's enchanting Banana Route - a vibrant journey through lush, terraced banana plantations that plunge into the Atlantic. It leads along concrete paths, small levadas and a few stairs through banana plantations where you can often see locals at work. - Cabo Girão (The highest sky-walk on a cliff in Europe).
- Câmara de Lobos - little fishermen enchanting village where Winston Churchill used to spend time and paint.
**We'll catch the sunset in one of stops on the south-west coast where the sun goes into the ocean during since time of the year.
Day 3 22th of October (10h00-18h00)
- Pick-up from One Madeira in Ponta do Sol at 10:00.
- Viewpoint Pico do Facho (overlooking the port of Caniçal and the town of Machico).
- Viewpoint Ponta do Rosto (view of Ponta de São Lorenco).
- Viewpoint Guindaste - offers a stunning view of the coastal line of the north coast of Madeira.
- Miradouro Rocha do Navio.
- Santana - the traditional thatch-and-lava stone buildings that were once common throughout the north-east of the island.
- São Jorje beach and ruins.
- Cabo Aéreo - traditional espetada (beef skewer) or fresh fish with a view.
- Viewpoint da Vigia.
- Viewpoint Beira da Quinta (facing Arco de São Jorje).
- Viewpoint São Cristovão.
- Town of São Vicente.
The price for all 3 days is 825 EUR with following services included: private guide and a mini van with a driver to accommodate all of us.
Notes:
If you need an invoice I will have to add 22% VAT on my services.
Values shown are for services originating and ending in Funchal area.
Full day services count as 8 hours.
Overtime: 20.00 EUR per hour. VAT included.
For services between 22:00 and 06:59, a night surcharge of 25% will apply.
*Lunch, snacks and beverages are not included.

Santa Maria de Colombo - a replica of Christopher Colombo's flagship (they also organize 3h boat trips and it's a very nice experience.
